I’m Lauren, a newborn and dog photography specialist based in Dalry, North Ayrshire, capturing timeless, natural images that celebrate connection, love, and the very first bonds within your family including your furry companions.

I turned my passion into my dream career when I opened my boutique photography studio in 2018. What started as a hobby quickly became a journey of growth, learning, and dedication. Today, I feel incredibly grateful to do a job that allows me to create meaningful artwork for families to treasure forever.

I have a particular passion for photographing newborns alongside their siblings and family dogs. Welcoming a new baby into your family is such a special moment, and for older siblings and pets, it is just as life-changing. I love capturing those first connections, quiet interactions, and the little bonds that form between your baby, their brothers and sisters, and their furry family members. Pets and siblings are always welcome in my studio, and your baby’s safety, comfort, and wellbeing are my highest priority.

My style leans towards soft, neutral tones that stand the test of time, creating artwork that complements your home rather than following short-lived trends. Knowing that the images I create will be displayed on your walls and become part of your everyday life is one of my greatest joys.

Over the years, my photography has grown to capture every stage of your family’s journey. I love creating maternity portraits to celebrate the anticipation of your new arrival, followed by sitter sessions for older babies as they begin to explore. Cake smash sessions are a favourite for 1st birthdays, full of fun and messy joy. Not to mention the annual festive family experience, a beloved holiday tradition. As children grow, I also love welcoming them back for first day of school photos and future family portrait updates, documenting your story in a natural, joyful, and timeless way.

Alongside running my photography business, I’m also a swimming instructor, which has strengthened my love for teaching, patience, and working with children. Helping little ones feel safe, confident, and happy is something I bring into every session.

When I’m not in the studio, you’ll usually find me at home with my partner Jonathon and our cheeky dog Bailey, who keeps life interesting with his massive personality and endless snuggles. We love heading out on new walks and adventures with him, if only he didn’t get so car sick, we would probably have got him a doggy passport by now.

Alongside life with Bailey, I love catching up with friends, going for dinner and drinks, and the odd rave. Travelling for music has been a huge part of our lives ever since it brought me and Jonathon together. We’ve been abroad every year since we met, hitting up raves in Amsterdam and Croatia, and we also love Tenerife every year, somehow squeezed in amongst all our other adventures. My favourite destination to date and a lifelong goal of mine was Australia, where Jonathon got down on one knee and popped the question on Fitzroy Island. A dream come true!

And finally, we’re currently planning our honeymoon, oops wedding, for 2027, and of course Bailey will be the star of the show as our little ring bearer. With so many adventures ahead, I honestly can’t wait to see where life and photography take us next.
